How To Make Delhi Safe???

I have this urge to pen down my thoughts today about the girl who is battling for her life, the one who will never be able to lead a normal life, neither physically nor mentally. And do you want to know what her fault was? Nothing!

It really makes me sick to even think of something so inhuman and insane :( I am sure everyone is aware of the recent case of a girl being raped by a bunch of bastards in Delhi. It is one horrific incident that has surely left a huge impact on our lives. Parents think twice before letting their kids go out, females want to rush back home even before the sun goes down.

I don't even know how to react to this, newspaper, news channels, Facebook, messages, everywhere people are talking about justice. BUT... is that all we want? Should that be our only concern? This is not the first time that a girl has been harassed, raped and left abandoned on the road side. DELHI- The capital of India is considered as the most unsafe place for women and that is a SHAME!!! Our shame....Our country's shame.

Media is playing its part, but that is just not enough. When will people start taking their responsibility? When will government and this system take a firm step to make this country a safer and better place.

But then second thoughts cringe in. How can we even possibly blame the government when we ourselves are so useless?... nobody dared to cover that girl when she was lying helpless on the road. These protests will die their natural death one day and that is because our country lacks the power of immediate actions. It's not just about punishing those filthy people but to get down to the root of it and slashing it off. This is not about this one single case but a safety concern for all the girls and women out there.

Guys!!! its time for action, enough of sitting around and blaming the higher authorities. If they are not doing anything then we can... do whatever possible. We need to understand that CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME. I am sure you must be seeing eve-teasing cases around you, stand up, raise your voice, be aware. Its HIGH TIME!!!

I can only give you my word that I, personally will always stand against any such crime happening around me, be it big or small. I want your word. Will you?
